International Student Tourism Passport Competition

The international Education Market is Australia’s third-largest export and worth $30.8 billion to the Australian economy. In July 2017, Queensland alone counted 123,707 IET students.

The aim of the International Student Tourism Passport Competition was to encourage international students to travel to different regions across Queensland and while doing so stop in at an accredited Visitor Information Centre to meet locals and discover what makes each region unique. For each visit to an accredited Visitor Information Centre, students received a stamp on their passports. After five stamps students were eligible to go into the draw to win $1,500 worth of airfares for travel anywhere in Queensland. The competition ran from October 1, 2018, until January 31, 2019.
