Winton Visitor Information Centre

This accredited visitor information centre offers a one-stop-shop for travel information including maps, brochures and itineraries. Staffed by skilled and knowledgeable locals the Winton Information Centre can provide advice on things to see and do. Discuss your travel plans with the friendly staff to ensure your visit to the Outback is a memorable one.

Our Centre is housed within Winton’s award-winning Waltzing Matilda Centre, the first museum in the world dedicated to a song.


Please note: The Queensland Explore Centre - Winton will be closed on Chrismas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day
